A life depicted in paintings ans sculptures

Rooted in the past but equally at home in the 21st century Jan Verhees (NL) Works with acrylics, oilpaints, pastels and various mixing techniques on canvas, paper and wood-panels, or expresses his ideas in the shape of small sculptures (mainly bronze, a 'cire perdue')
Doesn't feel bound by established schools of 'ismn', but likes to make -while working- use of all available means and possibilities; this in the conviction that every form of expressing oneself is the right one. As long as these are sufficiently expressive and lead to dialogue.
Thus a varied ouvre is established, where at a closer look his typical use of lines and colour provide unity and an undeniable signature.

From 20th March 2010 recently released romantic paintings at Chateau de Lunas.
